Each of the three experienced tutors will explore different techniques, rotating groups of players to produce dynamic arrangements of traditional music from Scandinavia, Brittany, Ireland and beyond. The course will take place at the stunning location of Leighon House, a stone's throw from Hound Tor on Dartmoor. This is a weekend of oral learning. Participants should feel comfortable learning by ear and memorising parts. Please bring a recording device.
Weekend tickets include free camping (for those who bring their own tent), a social evening on Friday, all meals, sessions and workshops. Glamping in the grounds of the house is also available.
The event runs from Friday 27th May to Sunday 29th May 2022 at Leighon House on Dartmoor.
The event is inclusive as possible so there is a reduced rate available for those on a low income - tickets below. Over 16s are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
