The sun came out as thousands of people walked in, or watched, the city centre parade. Colourful costumes abound with rainbow flags galore and a good show from the local emergency services too. The parade snaked its way through the shops and ended in Northernhay Gardens where local choir Spectrum opened the afternoon performances.
Northernhay Gardens was ram packed with food and drink stands and stalls from local charities and organisations. On stage featured a mix of musicians such as local folk duo The Suthering and spoken word rap artist Mama Tokus plus a showcase of drag performers from around the south west.
The Pride committee commented, “It is about us having pride in our contributions to not just a vibrant and diverse city, but all of Devon and the city and county having pride in us”.
