The multi-million pound hotel features 161 bedrooms, ground floor restaurant and two tier Mediterranean style terrace with an outside bar (not yet finished).
Opened and welcoming guests from Easter 2023, the Mercure is one of the largest new hotels to open in the area and its neighbouring Ibis is due to open later in the summer too.

Inside, the Mercure has an opulent and on-trend art deco style, with a beautifully kitted out bar and restaurant. The ground floor also features a small gym and two conference rooms available for hire.
Bedrooms with a sea view are called Privilege rooms and are slightly larger, have the added benefit of a Espresso machine, bluetooth speaker and complimentary soft drinks.
The Mercure Paignton Hotel and the Ibis Styles Hotel, due to open on the seafront later this year, signify an investment from the Fragrance Group in the local area of £30m. In addition, Torbay Council has committed to improving Paignton promenade and its sea defences, as part of the Paignton and Preston seafront masterplan.
