The swashbuckling Brixham Pirate Festival is on 29 April to 1 May 2023. Photos from Saturday below.

Thousands of people, many in full pirate regalia, descended on Brixham for the popular family festival of all thing pirate!

The Brixham skyline was dominated by El Galeón Andalucía - the 17th Century Spanish Galleon Replica offering visitors a look on the decks and inside the impressive ship.

Canons boomed across the harbour as skirmishes took place from the Golden Hind and dockside. Sea shanties could be heard among other live music and there was plenty of entertainment for the smaller shipmates too.
