Devon has plenty to be proud of after this year’s UK Theme Park Awards, with two of the county’s most loved attractions recognised on the national stage.
The prestigious UK Theme Park Awards ceremony took place at Wicksteed Park on 18th September 2025, bringing together the country’s leading attractions to celebrate the very best in the industry.
Crealy Theme Park & Resort – Family Favourite
Exeter’s Crealy Theme Park & Resort shone brightly, winning Gold for Best Theme Park for Families (Small Parks category). The park also picked up Gold for Best Theme Park for Toddlers (Small Parks category) thanks to the success of its new Sooty Land attraction, which has quickly become a hit with younger visitors. To round off a strong year, Crealy claimed Silver for Best New Entertainment (Small Parks category) with Sooty’s Disco Dance Off, showing that the park’s mix of live shows and themed lands is delighting families of all ages.
The Big Sheep – Quirky Devon Charm
North Devon’s The Big Sheep also earned national recognition, securing a Bronze award in Best Theme Park with Animals (Small Parks category). Known for its unique blend of farm fun, sheep racing, and rides, this award highlights how the attraction continues to punch above its weight on the UK stage.
A Boost for Devon Tourism
These wins underline Devon’s strength as a family holiday destination. While larger parks elsewhere, such as Paultons Park and Alton Towers, collected armfuls of awards, Devon’s home-grown attractions stood out in categories that matter most to local families and holidaymakers: family fun, toddler-friendly entertainment, and animal experiences with a difference.
So, whether you’re seeking a fun-filled day out with toddlers at Crealy, or quirky countryside charm at The Big Sheep, Devon’s theme parks have proven they’re among the very best in the country.
