There was a real sense of excitement in the air today as Crealy Theme Park & Resort officially launched its brand-new headline attraction, Pirates’ Plummet.
Towering 80ft above the park, the striking new drop tower instantly reshapes the skyline and marks a bold new chapter for one of the South West’s best-loved family destinations. Guests looked on — and many eagerly queued — as the first riders were lifted high above the Devon countryside before plunging back to earth in a thrilling free-fall that drew cheers from the crowd below.
While the experience feels brand new, some visitors may recognise its origins. The ride began life as a drop tower at Paultons Park, but has been completely transformed and re-themed by the Crealy team into a swashbuckling pirate adventure, breathing new life into a familiar favourite.

Designed to appeal to a wide audience, Pirates’ Plummet bridges the gap between family fun and adrenaline-fuelled excitement, making it a standout addition for older children, teens and adults looking for something a little more daring.
The launch also kicks off a packed Easter programme at the park, including the debut of a lively K-Pop Party running throughout the holidays, adding even more energy and entertainment to the visitor experience.

With crowds gathering for today’s opening and plenty more still to come later this year, Pirates’ Plummet signals an ambitious and exciting season ahead for Crealy.
Crealy Theme Park & Resort has recently cemented its reputation as one of the UK’s leading family attractions, picking up multiple honours at the UK Theme Park Awards. Its standout success came in 2025, when the park secured two Gold awards, including Best Theme Park for Families (Small).
