The Wedding Present have had eighteen UK Top 40 hit singles… not bad for a band that has, from its inception, stubbornly refused to play the record industry’s game. It all started in 1985 when David Lewis Gedge boarded a National Express coach in London with 500 records packed into a pair of his mother’s suitcases and, in this fashion, delivered the band’s debut single Go Out And Get 'Em, Boy! to a distribution company in Yorkshire....

Starting out as guitarist with Adam Faith's Roulettes, Russ went on to become lead guitarist and vocalist with Argent before embarking on a highly succesful solo career.
Also a phenomenally succesful songwriter, he has penned such classics as: God Gave Rock n Roll To You, Hold Your Head Up, Since You've Been Gone, I Surrender, You Win Again, I Don't Believe In Miracles, You Can Do Magic, No More The Fool, Nowhere To Run and countless others.

Sixty years after they burst onto the burgeoning prog rock scene it's time to bid a fond farewell to one of the all-time great British bands famed for their unforgettable live performances and "Art Rock' music with beautiful and demonic violin combined with electronic adventurous synths, interwoven with fantastic guitar wizardry mesmerisingly embroidered by the subliminal and exotic vocal prescence of the ever present legendary lead singer Sonja Kristina.
