La Petite Maison


From the rich flavours of the produce to the warm welcome of the locals, it’s the little things that have given the area its extraordinary reputation. La Petite Maison try to bring a little of that Westcountry magic to the  restaurant. Using the finest local produce chefs, Douglas Pestell and Sara Bright have created an award-winning menu of mouth-watering modern British cuisine. And with friendly service and a warm, Westcountry atmosphere you’ll be sure to leave our restaurant with a smile on your face.

It’s very much a family run affair with Douglas in the kitchen, Elizabeth handling front of house and Sara Bright.

Trained in the classical style, Douglas worked for British Transport Hotels for many years, putting in time at the prestigious Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland, as well as many other four and five star establishments around the UK. The greatest influence on his career, however, was a three month stage course at triple Michelin star holder Michel Guérards’s famous restaurant in south west France.
