Seasonality comes through in every dish. Ruby Red beef, Talaton porkers and Poll Dorset lamb from Whimple. All get the star treatment. Pub grub classics are given a delicious kick up the backside and the kitchen flex their creative muscles across modern, innovative menus. Look to the chalkboard for daily specials like hand dived scallops from Lyme Bay.

There's now a 24 year pedigree behind the team at the Jack and Matthew's cooking has precision and excitement in equal measure.

The beef and pork travel no distance at all, the chicken and duck are both free range. Pheasant, partridge, snipe, pigeon, venison and woodcock all feature on the Specials board when they are at their best.

As a venue, the Jack can also host wedding receptions, conferences, large parties and breakfast meetings.
