In a Britain buckling under economic collapse, the government’s answer is simple, the
Urban Regeneration Programme—an authoritarian initiative that promises prosperity. K.C, desperate for escape; Thomas, grieving and alone ; and Jessica, his daughter, torn
between ambition and conscience—three lives intersect in a world where hope is
rationed, and loyalty is monitored. As the Programme tightens its grip, personal choices
become political acts, survival demands sacrifice....

In 1792, at the height of the French Revolution, in Paris, aristocrats destined for the Guillotine, begin to be
rescued, by a mysterious figure, who always eludes capture. This rescuer can never be found or identified,
except by little slips of paper featuring the image of a small English flower. Meanwhile, in London, Sir
Percy Blakeney; who is widely known to be the leader of London fashion, and a carefree, whimsical fop,
marries Marguerite, a beautiful, intelligent French actress and friend of the revolutionary government in
France, while Citizen Chauvelin, an agent of the French government, arrives in London, seeking the identity
of the mysterious Scarlet Pimpernel....

‘Formula 5’ is a cross genre ensemble of multi-instrumentalists performing themed concerts of specially arranged music for their flexible ensemble. This programme is set in the world of art and animation. You'll hear music from noteworthy works of animation (Howl's Moving Castle, Chicken Run, Fantasia) as well as classical works that were written with artwork as inspiration such as Danse Macabre by Saint-Saëns....

Set in the aftermath of war this all female ensemble emphasises the bravery and sacrifice of this young woman who dares to confront the power of the state. This layered and visual production returns to the ongoing question about our own individual responsibility in the face of oppression, crisis and injustice; and asks can we stand up to and speak truth to power in todays world....
