Exeter Cavern

Dates through 2026, Exeter Cavern

The Exeter Cavern Club is one of the city’s most iconic live music venues and a cornerstone of Exeter’s alternative culture.

A former Victorian post office, the venue was founded with a clear aim: to bring exciting national and international acts to Exeter while supporting emerging local talent. Over the years it has built an impressive legacy, hosting early performances from now world-famous artists including Coldplay, Muse and Biffy Clyro, and earning a reputation for its fiercely independent spirit.

Located on Queen Street in the city centre, the Cavern is renowned for its intimate atmosphere and up-close live music experience. With a busy programme of gigs, club nights and DJ events, it remains a vital hub for students, creatives and music lovers, continuing to champion grassroots music and vibrant nightlife in Exeter.

“FOLK IN WEIGHTLESSNESS”

Androgynous poet JESS HATTON-BROWN, originally from the magnetic land of Dartmoor, has traversed the Miles of Green to achieve an impeccably minimalist folk, a focus of spirituality intended to levitate us with the first chord. Her airy voice adorns and harmonizes to settle gently in our soul. After graduating from the University of Bath with a master in songwriting, Jess has spent her life composing songs from her native heathland to Los Angeles and San Francisco....

The calling of doom metal is not for the fly by night, or those who seek an easy path to glory. For those drawn to its flame, it is the awakening of Black Sabbath’s dark spirit through the music that is its own rich reward. And for those elites who truly walk the path of doom, it is a journey without end, a pilgrimage that eventually becomes part of the traveller’s very bones and spirit....
